Good thinking :)

I'm trying to be resourceful because I have a few upcoming trips planned and well, I'll be living on my own next May when college kicks me in the rear...

So I can't wait to read the ideas and see if I can alter them to work for me here at school

D, I will tell you one thing that we do and I am sure that we aren't the only ones to say this. Shannon and I both get paid every 2 weeks. Me on Tuesday and he on Wednesday. I make out a menu starting Wednesday. I give ourselves one night a week to eat out, which is usually Friday. I make my dinner menu for 2 weeks. That way there is no, "what do you want to eat.", "I don't care what do you want?". That usually ends up in pizza or Chinese, or somewhere else fast food. The calendar gives me and shannon the opportunity to take things out of the freezer and prepare them throughout the day. I do alot of crock pottin on the nights that I work. Hope this helps :)

Great idea Denise! I know i'm interested. I've always lived month to month and carry a too-high balance on the the cards . . . and now I've got hosptial bills to deal with. So-i've already cut back on cable and grocery bills and internet extras-but I know there is more I can do . . .

Denise, this is a fantastic idea. We have moved into a new house and decided to rent out our older house...but with that brings worries, too. I would love more ideas on how to save money...

We've decided that for Christmas, we are only buying gifts for the children in our extended families. Honestly, we all have enough stuff to choke a horse. We are planning to donate in our families name to an organization called Amazima Ministries (check out Katie's blog at kissesfromdatie.blogspot.com). We will save money by doing this as we won't end up buying stuff that no one really wants anyways! Plus, Katie, a 21 year old adoptive mother of 13 who lives in Uganda who developed this ministry can do more with this money that we ever could.

Another good idea...i'm so glad to see you blogging. I stalk you daily, you know... ;)
